How does online therapy work?

You will need a device with camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection and a private space. I use a HIPAA compliant platform to conduct teletherapy sessions. You will receive a secure link via email and text message for each appointment. You just need to click on that link to get started.

Is online therapy effective?

Yes, online therapy is as effective as in-person sessions. It also offers you flexibility, convenience and accessibility.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is a gentle conversation where we get to know each other and what the therapy process would look like. We will discuss your needs and goals from therapy. We’ll move at your pace since my goal as a therapist is to make you feel safe, comfortable and understood.

Do you accept insurance?

I only accept CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). If you have another insurance, and have out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a receipt ("Superbill") to submit to your insurance for partial or full reimbursement. My private pay rate is $225 for both intake and 50 min long session.

For payments, you may add your HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards.

Kindly confirm the insurance and payment details with your Plan Administrator to ensure seamless service.

What is your cancellation policy?

My practice has a same week reschedule-only policy and holds a session for at least 53 minutes/ week. When you book a session, that time is reserved for you only. Hence, if you need to change your appointment within the same week, please email at least 24 hours prior to the session time to avoid being charged. If a session cannot be rescheduled, the session fee serves as the cancellation fee. Requests to change the appointment time to the following week are not honored. Please note: Insurance does not reimburse for missed or cancelled sessions.
